Hercwood Labradoodles

We are now breeding F1 labradoodles using our own standard poodle dog and labrador bitches. These puppies will be of various colours. As with the labrador puppies all will be regularly wormed, vet checked, vaccinated and micro-chipped before they leave us and will have a pedigree and supply of food and six weeks insurance with pet plan.

The Labradoodle is very much a 'people' oriented dog. They long to serve and please you. They also need to know that they are loved and true family member. They are intuitive, sociable, loving and easily trained and intelligent almost beyond belief. They are fabulous with children and are a blend of clown and intuitive intimate friend. They love to make you happy and laugh but are just as happy to lie at your feet for hours, soaking up your company. They make great running, jogging companions, excel at Agility and Obedience.

Having always been a labrador person I was entering what for me were unchartered waters when i took up ownership of Standard Poodle Dog. But he has proved to be a fantastic pet and companion, his kind temperament and patience with my two young grandchildren is truly remarkable. I am really pleased with my first litter of labradoodle puppies. The combination of my lovely kind labrador bitches and this wonderful new member of our family has produced some wonderful puppies.

Labradoodle F1 puppies are the first cross and are normally very healthy and have all the health benefits of what is termed hybrid vigour. Their coats will vary from smooth scruffy, dense soft scruffy, wiry dense scruffy to slightly curly. They will have a lower allergen level than a Labrador and will shed considerable less coat. Scruffies moult around 50% less than Labrador and the curlier the coat the less they generally moult. However a curly coat is much harder to care for as it needs regular grooming to remove matts and very curly dogs will need to to be clipped on a regular basis. The scruffy coats are the most sought after as they are easy to care for.

Anyone who tells you Labradoodles do not moult at all is not telling the truth!

Also they are LESS allergenic to many people but no one can guarantee that you or your children will not be allergic to them if you are already allergic to other dogs.
